The most amazing thing happened last night. No, Sophie did not sleep through the night. We are still working on that as you may be able to tell from the 4:54 AM time stamp on this post. Carl and I were out at a Asian Seafood buffet. Carl got what he thought was a dragon roll, which usually has shrimp tempura in it. I had already eaten a couple and didn't even think to tell him that they had cream cheese instead of shrimp tempura in them. It was pretty obvious to me and if you look at it, you can see it has a big block of cream cheese in it. But Carl usually never looks at sushi, he just shoves the whole thing in his mouth. Not tonight though. He brings his plate back to the table and puts it too close to Sophie and her hand shoots out and from his very full plate, she grabs and mangles the one peice of sushi with cream cheese in it. When she busts it open, Carl sees the cream cheese and we gasp. She saved his life. And that's how we'll tell the story forevermore. We're not ashamed of using hyperbole to describe our child's prowess and intent. :-)

And she can play a mean pot . . .
